HAMARI SANSKRITI
[ Evening of Local Folksongs ]
Friday August 11th 2006


Seasoned singers of local folksongs, wedding songs, songs
of various festivals and old kirtan songs were invited for
an evening of Local Folk Songs - Hamari Sanskriti.


The female singers, who are well known for continuing the old
tradition of folksongs, dominated the show.


Dr. Ramesh Sugrim sings one of the local folksongs.


Students enjoying the rythmic songs of the evening.


Thanks to the talented singers, and especially the drummers and
other musicion, the entire evening was enjoyed by everyone.
