Major Activities of the Guyana Central Arya Samaj


Since 2005, the Guyana Central Arya Samaj and the Berbice Central Arya Samaj have been collaborating with the New Jersey Arya Samaj Mandir Inc of the USA, in it's Annual Humanitarian Mission of Outreach to the Lesser Fortunate Children in Guyana. The Mission seeks to provide children with basic items to attend school (such as school bags, footwear, stationery, bicycles etc). The mission works also with Orphanages in Guyana in helping to purchase items that will help in the overall operation of these orphanages (such as linen, cookware, refridgerators, microwave ovens, beds, vanities etc). In 2006, the mission began to work with disabled children in providing them with food and transportation vouchers throughout the year.
