Activities of the Arya Samaj in Guyana
In general, the activities of the Arya Samaj in Guyana focus on the following areas:

• Educational Activities: Conferences, Youth Camps (Shikshan Shivirs), Seminars, Annual Award to Best Graduating Student in Pharmacy at University of Guyana, Book Awards to Good Performances at SSEE/CXC/GCE Examinations.
  
• Religious Education: Yajnas, Pandit’s Training, Television and Radio Programmes, Observation of Sanskaaras (Deaths, Weddings etc), Printing and Distribution of Tracts, Booklets and Newsletters.
  
• Recreational Activities: Athletic Meets, Day of Sports, Field Trips.
  
• Cultural Activities: Fund-Raising Shows, Bhajan Singing, Teaching of Hindi Language, Celebration of Hindu Festivals.
  
• Social Welfare: Feeding Programmes, Orphan Care, Outreach to the Elderly, the Poor and the Sick, Free Medical Clinics for the Poor, Mobilisation of Resources in times of Natural Disasters.
  
• Human Rights: Promoting and Protecting Rights of Women and Children.
